Feb 24, 2013 - lmao @ 'it seems like a traumatic night at the roxbury' xD --- that song, "WHAT IS LOVE? BABY DON'T HURT ME!!!" immediately started running through my mind & I resisted the temptation of nodding my head to the side. xD The bald guy on the right was sorta smiling & looked like he was thinking "hahahaha" xD So funny, I had to pause & laugh. LOL :) this is the first episode i've watched, but i'm going to subscribe. :) i loved the GM's accent, too! :D and you all seem like very nice folks. :)
DawnforgedCast Says:
Feb 24, 2013 - What is love didn't leave my head once he said the village name, and the funnier thing...I don't think the DM understood the reference at all. :)
DawnforgedCast Says:
Feb 24, 2013 - We'll see we'll see!
Mark Saxton Says:
Feb 27, 2013 - I've been studying this system for the Deadlands setting and have to keep watching this video to attempt to get a general flow and DM understanding of this system. Would you say it's easier to play than Pathfinder/D&D or more difficult?
DawnforgedCast Says:
Feb 27, 2013 - I actually can't say yet. We are schedule to play again in a few weeks. Perhaps after that I can give you an answer.
gd0lly Says:
Feb 28, 2013 - LOL! I noticed that when you said 'it seems like a traumatic night at the roxbury' xD Your friends thought it was funny, too! I had such a good laugh. lol I sent my friends a link to this video & hope they watch it.. For one thing, there was some disputes about character creation that it helped clear up & also it was just funny watching you guys game, be silly & pick on eachother. We do the same thing in my group. xD

Feb 28, 2013 - One thing I'd like to see is how you level your characters up in Savage Worlds. :) -- Sorry for the double post, didn't have enough room to write this in my previous message. :) Looking forward to the next SW video. haha :)
DawnforgedCast Says:
Feb 28, 2013 - I'll bring that up with our GM at the next game. Remember I know even less about SW than you do. I'm in it just to learn. :)
gd0lly Says:
Feb 28, 2013 - Awesome, thank you so much! :D
darnakdwarf01 Says:
Mar 5, 2013 - Much, much, much easier than Pathfinder.
edheldude Says:
Mar 7, 2013 - Way way easier. D&D 3.5 (= PF) has a huge system mastery element which some find fun, but it also forces you to remember a lot of stuff. Savage Worlds is presented in a way that allows minimal book keeping and frees your mental space. I've run several short campaigns with SW, and we're just finishing our latest year long campaign (based on Pathfinder's AP Rise of the Runelords), and they've all been great fun.
Disemvowel Says:
Mar 9, 2013 - Just getting to this...glad you played SW. Commenting as I watch... You can't have two Major HInderances starting out as Novices; 1 Major+2 minor

Mar 11, 2013 - 28:10 so it's Canada

Mar 13, 2013 - I have a couple questions about Savage Worlds.. 1.) I would like to know if Frank would be interested in hosting a hangout or going on Skype or something where we can play a game with him ourselves? 2.) I have some SW books & am making a character from the Supers book. I was looking at the information on the Matter Control Table (pg 17) and was blown away by how much matter each level can control & was wondering if Frank could maybe explain how that works exactly.. As well as leveling up toons.
langlearner27 Says:
Mar 13, 2013 - For example, the Matter Control Table says that you can control 50,000 lbs of plants if you were to take plant control.. or 20,000 lbs of glass.. 10,000 lbs of metal, etc.. I was like holy crap! lol My character is going to take the cloth control, because I thought that would be fun (and mischievous).. Walk into a room & depant everyone.. lol Tie people up with their own clothes.. Give atomic wedgies to the enemy, etc.. <3 lol And on the side, you're one of the world's top fashion designers. lol
langlearner27 Says:
Mar 13, 2013 - Was also thinking of combining cloth control with some kind of electricity.. Naming the super hero "Tesla".. Cause the cloth could generate the electricty.. Or help facilitate it.. And what person doesn't wear clothes? I'd always have something to work with, unless someone showed up naked.. Which would be interesting for combat.. >.> But um.. I digress. Yes. I need some help here. LOL :)
langlearner27 Says:
Mar 13, 2013 - Disemvowel, the GM said it was a "house rule," which means it's something he personally does for his players & it is not in the rule book, so you don't have to follow it.. However, in either case you end up with the same number at the end... 2 majors = 4, 1 major & 2 minors = 4. Same thing, only different, as my dad would say. :) That's probably why he distinctly said it was a house rule, that way people know that it's not in the rule book & you don't HAVE to do it if you don't want to. :)
Kev-La Ttolya Says:
Apr 6, 2013 - Thank you so much for sharing this, chaps. I'm a new Savage Worlds gamesmaster, myself, and love the system so far. Much more user-friendly and versatile than my previous favourite, Exalted. I haven't watched all of this video, as yet, but it is already on my Favourites List. Invaluable! :D
DawnforgedCast Says:
Apr 6, 2013 - We've been trying to do a follow up, but schedules just haven't aligned. I'd definitely be interested in giving it a further look.
Kev-La Ttolya Says:
Apr 27, 2013 - I'll be eagerly watching this space :)
JaxR0k Says:
Apr 28, 2013 - are you going to do the other savage worlds session soon? :) i have been anxiously anticipating it. :)
DawnforgedCast Says:
Apr 28, 2013 - We may but it would end up much like most of the sessions we have on this channel, roleplay only briefly interrupted by system mechanics. :)
JaxR0k Says:
Apr 29, 2013 - sounds peachy to me!! :D i'm crossing my fingers, holding my breath and praying all at the same time that you guys will participate in another session. lol :) I too would like to see how you level up your characters, as gd0lly mentioned. thank you kindly for your response and for your time!
ONKELREY Says:
May 18, 2013 - Yeah, der einzig wahre Frank ist hier um uns zu unterrichten.
Piotr Płocki Says:
Feb 23, 2013 - So...you're going to play Savage Worlds more, I presume. Yes? Maybe a whole campaign or at least 2-3 sessions? And you will put it on YT, right? I knew you would agree. ;)
