"The Ring" (2002), a psychological horror film based on a Japanese horror film ("Ringu," 1998) begins by telling the story of two teenagers who experience something horrific. The movie sufficiently explains what one of the teenagers (Katie) experienced, but doesn't explain what happened during the incident for the other. This video asks a simple question: What happened to Becca Kotler at the beginning of "The Ring?" This video DOES NOT have anything to do with Lord of the Rings.

Feb 20, 2013 - what happened was becca was upstairs waiting for katy but the little girl that killed her was previosly drowned in a well by her stepmother years before this happened so thats why things were wet hope you understand :)

Feb 20, 2013 - Yes I know that, but where was Becca when this happened? I've watched the part where the camera zooms into Katie's face and Becca doesn't appear to be in the room. She just disappeared completely and didn't respond when Katie was calling her name downstairs. If she was there, I would think she would be on camera, but shes not.
